The first Bia Bed was made in 1969 in Valdemarsvik by Bengt Asklöf. Today, the company is still run by his granddaughter, Sofia Asklöf, who has been at the helm since 2009. In 2019, Bia Bed celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Bia Bed is a well-known brand in the pet supplies world and is part of Bia AB. All products are still handmade in Valdemarsvik, Östergötland, Sweden, and only Swedish materials are used whenever possible in the environmentally friendly production of the beds.
